Neon arcade endless runner

Reflex Dash: Neon Run

A neon survival sprint where every shard feeds the combo and one crash ends the run.

About the game

Reflex Dash: Neon Run is a three-lane arcade runner that plays free in your browser. Pilot a neon ship down an endless track, weaving between hazards while chaining gold shards into a multiplier that climbs to ×8. Shields and score surges drop in to keep runs alive, two-lane walls force early reads, and speed keeps climbing until one mistake ends it. Banked shards buy new ship skins, and a once-a-day challenge gives you a fresh reason to come back.

Game features

  • Three-lane dodging on an endless neon track, with speed and spawn rate that ramp for roughly two minutes before capping at maximum pace
  • A combo system capped at ×8 — every shard pays 15 points times your current multiplier, and the chain decays if you stop collecting
  • Close-call bonuses of 25 points times combo whenever a hazard slides past in a neighboring lane
  • Two-lane hazard walls that start appearing after 13 seconds, leaving exactly one safe lane each time
  • Shields from two sources — cyan pickups or the Space key — and a shield save grants a moment of invulnerability
  • Score surge orbs worth a flat +100 that also push your combo a step higher
  • Three ship skins (one free, two bought with banked shards) plus a once-per-day challenge, all saved in your browser

How to play

Pick a skin and start your run. Move between the three lanes with the left and right arrows or A/D — on a phone, tap the left or right side of the track. Space fires your shield, an S pickup charges a longer one, and Esc pauses. Contact with a hazard ends the run unless a shield absorbs the hit, so read the track early. Gold shards pay 15 points times your combo and lift the multiplier toward ×8, purple surges add 100 points, and hazards that slip past in the next lane pay a close-call bonus. Speed keeps climbing for about two minutes. Shards bank at the end of each run toward the 30- and 60-shard skins, and one daily challenge is available per calendar day.

Tips & strategies

  1. 1.Guard the combo, not the shards. At ×8 every pickup pays 120 points and survival itself scores eight times faster, so a missed shard trail costs far less than a risky lane change that breaks the chain.
  2. 2.Learn the wall rhythm. After 13 seconds the track starts raising two-lane barriers with one guaranteed safe lane — spotting the empty lane early beats reacting to the first block you see.
  3. 3.Spend shields on the walls, not lone blocks. A pickup shield lasts three seconds, a shield save buys you about a second of invulnerability, and wasting either on one easy block is a poor trade.
  4. 4.Treat Space as a crash button for the one block you misread — it recharges on a cooldown of roughly nine seconds, so it will not be there for the next mistake.
  5. 5.Graze for income. A hazard that slides past in the neighboring lane pays 25 points times your combo, so holding an actually-clear lane beside danger is scoring, not risk.
  6. 6.Bank the early skins first: EMBER costs 30 shards and TOXIC 60, and skins change colors only — once they are unlocked, every shard goes toward chasing your best score.

Frequently asked questions

Is Reflex Dash: Neon Run free to play?

Yes. The developer hosts the complete game free on itch.io, and here it streams in your browser with no download and no account.

What does the Space key do?

Space triggers your shield — about two and a half seconds of protection that recharges on a cooldown. Pausing lives on Escape or the on-screen button instead.

Does the game save my progress?

Yes, in your browser only: best score, shard wallet, owned skins and your daily run all live in local storage, so clearing site data resets them.

Can I play on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Tap the left or right side of the screen to switch lanes — the same track, hazards and combos as on desktop.

What are shards for?

Shards you grab during a run are banked when it ends. The wallet buys two extra ship skins: EMBER at 30 shards and TOXIC at 60.

How often can I play the Daily Challenge?

Once per calendar day. After your daily run the button shows a check mark until the next day, when a fresh one unlocks.
