How to play

Orpheus 0600 opens with a click-to-start screen and a short interactive tutorial: WASD walks, the mouse looks around, and on-screen prompts tell you how to deal with whatever is in front of you. From there the game runs in a single line — the mission hands you one task at a time, you go where it points, and you carry the task out exactly as described. There are no fights to win and nothing to manage; progress comes from moving between rooms, listening to what the machines and voices ask of you, and doing it. Most players see the whole vignette in one sitting.

Tips & strategies

  1. 1.Listen and read before you move. Every task is spelled out by a machine or a voice, and doing the wrong thing first wastes time in a game this short.
  2. 2.If nothing seems to be happening, walk back through rooms you have already visited. The game rarely repeats itself, so a new prompt usually waits where an old task ended.
  3. 3.Play with headphones. The soundtrack and ambient noise do a lot of the storytelling, and several moments land through sound alone.
  4. 4.Switch on the high-contrast option if the dark scenes strain your eyes.
  5. 5.Pay attention to small details as you work through the tasks. The ending asks you to reconsider what the mission actually was, and the groundwork is laid early.

Troubleshooting

Orpheus 0600 loads inside this page and starts with one click on the game window. If the picture stutters right after the opening, give it a minute — the first scenes are the heaviest and playback settles down shortly after. A black screen usually means the game window lost focus: click once anywhere on the play area and wait a few seconds. If the browser build keeps struggling on your machine, the developer also offers a Windows download on the official itch.io page.
